A More Excellent Career Goal
Dear Leader,
I trust this letter meets you in pursuit of wisdom.
The Journey of career success will only be truly successful if you dedicate yourself to continual development, Whether you are an intern or the Head of department or a governor of a state.
The way to become effective is that you must first believe that the position you received is not what makes you successful, just as position is not what makes you a leader.
5 years ago, I began my first job not knowing so much or having the kind of competencies I have now but with time, as I kept putting in the work with focus, I grew.
And growth is continuous!
Every position or Job you receive is simply an invitation to grow.
So, your main job is to make the most of every opportunity you receive in your current role by making growth your goal.
Your more excellent career goal should not just be to change your job title and earn a bigger salary (even though that in itself is not bad), your goal should be GROWTH.
If you do that and become a lifetime learner, you will ultimately and continually increase your income and influence.
This week, strive to keep improving.
Task: Make a list of the areas you feel are your strengths and how can you further develop that area?
Until next time.
I’m rooting for you,
Great Owete
